THE ART OF SUBTITLING
AI just won’t cut it
More than 80% people watch videos with sound off.
But that’s not the only reason you should subtitle and/or localize your video.
Of course, you can let AI handle that. However, it just won’t cut it.
It results in too crammed text and overwhelming experience. On top of that, AI can’t break sentences logically and correctly.
Especially in case of accent, proper names, brand names, or made-up words.
Yeah, even a subtitler can mishear something but:
1. They are going to research it.
2. They are going to ask you to confirm it.
3. Or they just logically fill in the gap based on context.
Translation or localization is not only about 1:1 word exchange. And with subtitling, it’s even more obvious.
I can help you to tackle all these aspects, from correct timing to subtitles that are going to resonate with your audience and give you or your story the right tone of voice in Czech. And I can also take care of some light video editing!
So grab your popcorn and watch your view count go up! If you care about your audience…

So how is it gonna go?
THE LINGO
TIMED TEMPLATE
File in the original language with time codes, synchronized to audio. A good template speeds up work, and minimizes possible questions regarding challenging audio and accents.
CAPTIONS
Transcription of audio (and possible sounds) displayed similarly as subtitles. They are monolingual and help people watch content even when they can’t enjoy the audio, no matter what the reasons are.
BURNT-IN SUBTITLES
When subtitles are embedded in video and cannot be turned off. You don’t need an extra file to display them. No need to hassle with formats and file names, just play it and enjoy!
