TRANSLATION, LOCALIZATION,
OR TRANSCREATION?
Not Every Approach Is The Same
I’ll help you navigate this linguistic mumbo-jumbo.
A doctor needs to take the right approach too. You wouldn’t treat a broken leg with herbal tea.
It’s the same for localization professionals. Or translation…?
So have a seat, pick from the menu, and your Witty Word-Witch will fix a lovely Czech “nourishment” for the souls of your audience.
TRANSLATION
Translation conveys the meaning as faithfully as possible. No fluff for a foreign audience, just keep those date formats and units of measurement as in the original.
Great for straightforward texts where you don’t want to lose the original information – e. g. purely informational parts of your website such as menus, for emails, or manuals and scientific texts.
Even literary translation is partly, well, a translation – it brings author’s tone and intent, their original ideas and thoughts in the most authentic way. However, it also bears signs of other approaches.

My signature menu for TRANSLATION:
LOCALIZATION
Your text localized to Czech is as smooth as a cat’s fur, and so is the user experience.
It brings a full package to your audience: not only the text but also localized pictures, fonts supporting special Czech characters, local customs – dates, units of measurement, tone of voice suitable for your target audience, and more.
Localization suits the best to your video games, websites, marketing messages, e-learning…
Do you want a tailored Czech suit for your video game?
Your Witty Word-Witch can grant you that wish!
My signature menu for LOCALIZATION:
TRANSCREATION
Emotions.
That’s what sells.
And you want to sell to your audience, don’t you?
Transcreation is far more than translation and localization. It takes your message to the whole new level and connects your brand with your customers.
Forget machine translation or AI, forget even an average translator – if you want your text to resonate with your target audience, you need a new breed: a skilled translator mixed with a talented writer/copywiter.
With transcreation, they won’t think even for a second your message had not been written in Czech.
What can you cook the best with transcreation? Slogans, e-commerce, ads…
